Support for Carers

  • Are you caring for someone that you love?
  • Are you constantly tired and feeling the weight of the responsibility?
  • Do you feel isolated and alone, cut off from 'normal everyday' life?
  • Do you worry about what will happen if you become ill?

There are a lot of people in the Almanzora Valley area in the same situation. At Age Support Almanzora we know the benefits of talking with other people who are in similar circumstances.
We are able to provide a regular Carers' Support Group where you can meet other people in a caring role and share your thoughts and feelings

Important Note: Age Support Almanzora is unable to offer hands-on personal care.

Care Equipment for Loan

Age Support Almanzora has a limited stock of mobility aids which are available for people to borrow.. A donation is requested for the loan of any of the following items which helps towards the cost of replacements and further equipment purchases.

  • Walking sticks
  • Crutches
  • Walking Frames
  • Rollators
  • Raised toilet seats
  • Commode
  • Folding wheelchair and ramp
  • Bath seat
  • Bed table

Brand new wheelchair, walkers, frames. Just a selection of the equipment and mobility aids we can loan to people in need in the Almanzora Valley.

Important Note: We rely on donations of mobility aids in order to be able to help others. If you have any items that are no longer in use and just gathering dust, please think of donating them to us.

Hospital Type Bed
9th November 2015
The domestic type hospital bed to help carers with a bed-ridden partner has now been ordered.
Electrically operated, these beds raise and lower to save bending, similar to those found in hospitals.

Many thanks to all those involved in our fundraising for this project which is now completed at 1,485 euros.
